Punainen lyhty - Red lantern

Today we brought the tree in, and put the lights and glittering decorationgs to celebrate the hiding sun. From now on the days will be longer every day, slowly. The tree is glowing in the dark bringing hope about the increasing light. The tree is from our own yard, the edge of the forest, a bit thin but I think it is beautiful.

Lahja ystävältä - A gift from a friend

Tällaisen ihastuttavan nahkaisen kasvoveistoksen sain ystävältäni, taiteilijanaapuriltani. Eikö ole upea!? Olen aivan lumoutunut noista kasvoista, niissä on jotain maagista ja vangitsevaa...

I got this lovely leather face sculpture from my friend, artis neighbour. Isn't she gorgeous! I am fascinated of that face, it has something magical and capturing...

Along with the present came this card, made by the artist. Anna Wildrose's art is unbelievable rich, full of details, and it has both delicacy and strength, and it makes you think and gets your imagination to fly...

Hehkuva keiju - Glowing fairy

Kaunis Seljakeiju Ellen seikkailee kesät puutarhassamme keskellä kukkasia, mutta talveksi hän pääsee olohuoneeseen piirongin päälle. Joulunajan kunniaksi rakensin Ellenille taianomaisen ympäristön, jossa hän hehkuu salaperäisenä huurteisten heinien, lasipallojen, kultatähtien ja valojen keskellä...

Beautiful Ellen, fairy of the Elder trees has her adventures in the middle of the flowers in our garden at summers, but she has her place on top of an old chest for the winter. To celebrate the Holiday time I created her a magical surroundings, where she enchantingly glows in the middle of the frosty grass, glassballs, golden stars and shimmering lights...

Enkeli - Angel

Holiday time... it is coming closer. I bought a garden angel the other day. Yes, my garden is covered with snow, and I won't put her there in cold, but she got to be our Holdiay angel in the living room instead! I put the angel on a small pillar and hmm then what... something to go with her. A little bit of glimmer and gold, red beads... two butterflies flew there to keep her company. And lights, of course, beautiful, glowing lights in the mid-winter darkness... So lovely to sit in the dark room, enjoying the angel lights.

Lisää nalleja! - More teddybears!

Viime viikonloppuna loppui taas yksi vetämäni nallekurssi. Harmaa Vilho on edellisen kurssin aikana tekemäni nalle. Oliviasta tuli heti lempinalleni, ihastuin tuohon upeaan turkin väriin ja lutuiseen ilmeeseen.

Olivia

Vilho

Ensimmäinen kurssilla valmistunut nalle.
The first bear that was finished in the course.

Melkein kaikki nallet, yhdeltä puuttuu vielä nenä.
Almost all of the bears, one still missing the nose.

I have been kind of busy. Last weekend was the end of one teddybear course again that I was teaching at. Eight women made furry creatures, and what can I say... such sweet things they are, and each have their own personality! In the middle of teaching I had time to make one newcomer, plum coloured Olivia. The grey Vilho is a bear that I made during the earlier course. Aren't they all just so cute? Olivia became my favourite teddybear at once, I fell in love with that gorgeous fur colour and her tender expression.
